Apologetics

Apologetics is a judicial term that describes the Fashion a lawyer defends his client in a courtroom (II Tim 4:16).

Definition:

The word “apologetics” comes from the Greek word apologia which means “reasoned defense.”

The word is used at least nine times in the New Testament (I Cor 9:3; 2 Cor 7:11; I Pet 3:15; Phil 1:7, 16; II Tim 4:16; Acts 25:16; 19:33; 22:1).

Therefore, apologetics is the branch of Christian theology that deals with the verbal defense of the Christian faith.

We are called to defend the Word of God. 

•  Php 1:17  "...I am appointed for the defense of the gospel."

The Christian faith is constantly under attack.

Isaiah 1:18  “Come now, and let us reason together,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow;”
